Claud Wanders Well on Their Latest Album

It’s fitting that Supermodels, Claud’s sophomore album, leaves listeners with the parting words, “I’ve been thinking about moving out of New York.” Supermodels is a nomadic album in many senses: it wanders between genres, ideas, and even physical places — the “bones of the songs” were assembled in Claud’s Brooklyn apartment and studio, but parts of the record were written, produced, and performed across locations. And like any nomad, Claud doesn’t know where they’ll land next.

Three Chicagoans Compete on The Great American Baking Show

When Martin Sorge, a consultant and former economic development coordinator for the City of Chicago, stepped into a picturesque English country estate to film Season 6 of The Great American Baking Show, he didn’t expect to encounter a fellow Chicagoan — let alone two.

“I was spoiled,” Sorge says. “I’m good friends with all the bakers on the show now, but [the three of us] get to come home, pop over to each other’s houses to drop off something we baked, or pick up an ingredient we might need.”

Lollapalooza Lineup Goes Light on Legacy Acts

Conspicuous gaps in touring schedules and Twitter rumors aside, Lollapalooza officially announced its 2023 lineup this morning. Among the biggest names making the pilgrimage to Grant Park are Kendrick Lamar, Billie Eilish, and The Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Joining them are Odesza, Lana Del Rey, Karol G, The 1975, and Tomorrow X Together. The eight headliners have over a quarter of a billion monthly Spotify listeners combined.
